Emotions are influenced by many factors (the thought-emotion-behavior triad). It is necessary to accept and respond to emotions, but maintain a healthy distance and learn to manage them. There are emotions that make us feel bad, although we can learn to replace bad emotions with better ones, as these are not always appropriate.
Objectives of Emotional Intelligence training: Increase awareness of our emotional processes. Understand our own emotions and those of others. Learn to understand ourselves better and communicate better. Self-regulate our emotions, reducing the intensity of negative emotions and achieving a sense of balance and serenity.
